The above tutorial shows us how to create an artistic "sketch" from an original photograph using channels, levels, and layers in photoshop. The finished picture ended up as the first page of a photobook. -- Looks like I decided to keep the specular white edges as well has the darker edges (this is different from the example video that shows us how to emphasize the dark edges and remove the bright edges)
